Dr. Gina Weissman began her career as a dentist, receiving her training at The Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School, Jerusalem.
Dr. Weissman is also an RN nurse and has been working as an IBCLC, certified Lactation Consultant, since 1999. She teaches courses in human lactation for both medical professionals and future lactation consultants, mentoring them in preparation for the international exam of the IBCLC.
Dr. Gina Weissman is an accomplished international lecturer with over 20 years of experience and expertise in effective communication with professional audiences as well as with the general public. She lectures at many forums in Israel and abroad and frequently gives TV interviews.
Dr. Weissman is the director and owner of HalavM Breastfeeding clinic and lactation Consultant Education Center for professionals, where she offers breastfeeding consulting and tongue-tie release. Dr. Weissman is considered an expert in diagnosing and treating tongue-tie and other oral issues and is also an expert in teaching mothers Instinctive Breastfeeding. She is the author of Mother’s Milk, a Video Guide to Breastfeeding (Hebrew/Arabic/English).
Dr. Weissman is a Fellow member of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine, and the exiting president of the Israeli Association of Certified Lactation Consultants. She lives in Israel with her husband Amir and their four sons.
